Welcome to the art website for David A. Haskell. Dave began his artistic journey at an early age, painting the California coast. In 1970, he moved to Arizona and became enchanted with the awesome beauty of the Grand Canyon. Although he paints in a variety of locations throughout the Southwest, he has become best known for his ability to capture the light, mood, and power of the grandest of all western landscapes. He began rafting the Colorado River in 1994, and now leads annual  artist painting expeditions through the  heart of the Grand Canyon, painting the canyon from the view of the river that created this grand of all gorge.  Available paintings of this series can be found in the Grand Canyon Colorado River portfolio. In addition to frequent visits to the Grand Canyon, Dave paints regularly around Sedona, the mountains of Arizona, and the canyon and mesa country of Southern Utah.  He occasionally  returns to his roots painting the central coast of California.

David and his wife Jan operate their own gallery in the old high school art gallery/studio complex.
